Hi. I have an Allegro CX that had SMI on it. The SMI software crashed and won't allow me to access it anymore. I tried rebooting, resetting, re-everything, it says a file cannot be located or the path is wrong. In fact the file is on there but SMI still won't open. Regardless, we now use SurvCE on another collector. I was wondering if there was anything I could do with the Allegro to get it up and running again as a back up. Windows still works on it, but it has no survey software that is usable. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have no idea where the cd is. It was long before I started working for the company. I guess it would have came with one right? I can't find it, but if I could, I would definitely do that.

I can't say that I have a SMI CD but I did locate an old EP/SMI download URL. It's not very easy to get to but is publicly accessible and might get you closer to a solution. Feel free to call me at 563-583-8552 and I'll talk you through the process I followed to find it.

Hmm. Ok, is it that hard to find? I can usually find anything online, but I couldn't come across any SMI stuff. Can you give me any hints? I may call you next week. Thanks!
