I woke to this news line. So sorry to hear about the loss. Norm Brown was an instructor at St. Louis Community College and worked with too many surveyors to list in the St. Louis area. He will be missed.

Those familiar with the Missouri world of surveying know that there were two Norman Brown's. One had a tremendous beard and one didn't.

And there wasn't much chance of getting them mixed up.. The first time I saw the 'other' Mr. Brown was at a conference in Rolla. I thought he was in costume. He is the real deal...

I wonder if we met him when we did that STL Land Surveyors Picnic thing in 2013?? :-S
I liked this guy regardless...he picked a great baseball team to be a fan of. B-)
