Aloha,
Maybe it is just me...being a bit more observant after the forum format changed...
I noticed a lot of post from users that I never seen before in the old format. But many are registered three or four years ago but with very few posts. I think this is a nice change.

I guess I have say something about Kent since nothing was said in the past few days 🙂 He inspired me to learn StarNet. I wish he is here to continue to share his wisdom!

I thought I saw a post from Kent on here somewhere the other day...

EDIT - guess I was hallucinating again!

Yswami,
You exist in a social environment different than the majority of peoples. I admire that, and respect you, as well as you respect others.
Perhaps you and your associates in Kauai could offer an evaluation of Mr. McMillan‰Ûªs refusal to participate with all of us.

I am completely clueless as to why a man with the talents he possesses would simply abandon his contributions to all of us because of a change of format. I have always been under the impression that change is good. The most intriguing part is that if an idiot like me can figure this place out McMillan could do it in his sleep.

Take care! B-)

Aloha, Andy:

I don't have social media accounts such as Facebook etc. (Not planning to have any in the future either 🙂 I do appreciate the suggestion.

Surveyconnect forum and few other forums that related to my monastic duties are only "social media" activity I have.

Aloha, Bill:
Thank you!

I can give my detailed and sagely evaluation but @Angel might come out with a whip or worse @Wendell might ban me:-D Just kidding.

I read almost every single post he had written in the past couple years. In many instances the discussion being "debated" are about GPS--something I don't use or even close to understand. But I was always intrigued by his passion about precision and accuracy. Admired his high standard for himself and that he demands. I know not everyone look at this in the same way--this my humble view.

He was one of many that walked me through, during my very first attempt to create a control network. I saw how generous and large hearted person he is--after this experience. He was replying to my questions late in the evening--which was pretty late in Texas!

He always signs off with "with best regards" and I have very high regard for this man, regardless if returns or not! I sure hope he reads this and many other poses addressed to him when he lurks around and know how much his contribution is appreciated. Come back Mr. Kent McMillan ..here I said it! Aloha

Think of all the simplistic "gotcha" memes and pointless political trolling you are missing on Facebook!

And hashtags such as #BogusTheory and #FencePostOffsets etc.

I am not sure that "best regards" was presented with the "best intentions." Might have been something tongue in cheek, from r p l s dot com days 5+ years ago?

Kent still holds second place in number of posts by a sizable margin - and a respectable number of trophy points ...

I am certain it has to do with his particular Myers-Briggs personality type. Of course he would be the one to ask how his personality type conflicts with this particular format. Maybe someone could ask him on his facebook page :>

@yswami I think the uptick in the new members posting is due to Kent's absence. In the old days of POB, there were several contributors, people like him with excellent talent, that he berated until they left. He's a smart school yard bully, nothing else.

Maybe he really can't. Don't discount evidence merely because it is an outlier.
