My wife and I were married in a small Methodist church in South Georgia. Since then we've lived in 4 states, both gotten college degrees (her a Master's), raised 2 children to adulthood, had some wonderful times and survived some terrible times. As much as I want all our times to be good ones, the closest we've ever been was when we HAD to pull together to get through the bad ones. God was sure looking out for me when we met 'cause I was only looking for a good time. She'll probably never see this but I've got to say, "Kim, thanks for the last 35 and I hope we have 35 more."

Andy

That is real nice to hear.

My mom & pop quit after 33 years.

This post is very encouraging to us young fellers (married 19 years now).

You are setting a good example for how to be a humble & grateful husband.

Thanks Andy!

Congratulations. It takes a better man than me to make it that long. Made it about 13.5 years with the first wife and only up to about 14 years now with the second wife. If I make it another 21 years, I'll be 79.

I had to look it up, but I recalled getting married in March of '82. Sure enough it would be 30 yrs on St Patricks Day this Sat. But....we (she) never made it past the 7 yr itch. I'll have to toast her with a green beer..

Amen to that, Andy...I've got the 34th coming up in two weeks, and I feel the same way.

Surveyors usually seem to "marry up".
