In order to accommodate various request pertaining to BBCodes, plus some frustrations I've experienced with the default editor, I've switched to a different editor. The new editor has new buttons and is much more powerful. Plus I can add new buttons as needed. The old editor had some of these, but they were in a dropdown menu and you may not have been aware of them at the time.
One of the coolest new buttons is the sarcasm button, represented by the international symbol of sarcasm: [sarcasm]<--- sarcasm symbol[/sarcasm]
Others include:
- Special symbols
- Code
- Spoiler
- Tables
- Highlighter
Also, the insert link button has been improved.
One really cool new feature has to do with post drafts. The editor will auto-save periodically in the background. If you leave and come back to the thread later, you can click the restore draft icon (just to the right of the paste button) to, well, restore your draft post.

WOW! I wanted to see if [sarcasm]youtube worked.[/sarcasm]
This site just keeps getting better, unbelievable.
Why don't other user forums have this capability?

Edit: still none the wiser.
Is this a form of a 'teaser'?
"A spoiler is an automotive aerodynamic device whose intended design function is to 'spoil' unfavorable air movement across a body of a vehicle in motion, usually described as turbulence or drag."

Kind of off topic but I want to congratulate Wendell. The transition to the new forum went real well....unlike that other forum that lost all our old post....and seemed to be set up more for marketing purposes....and didn't listen to the suggestions of the users....and....
Still curious about Spoiler.
Obviously has a use.a strike through

Funny, I just found that new "spoiler" as well and did some tests with it.
As I mentioned in my semi-private test thread, unless you are writing a movie review, I don't know what someone would use it for.
