Wendell posted on Facebook a few minutes ago that he is at the hospital with Angel who fell and maybe broke a hip and/or femur. That's all that is known at this point.
Hope it is only a bruise to her dignity.

No break thank God!! Just in excruciating pain from a torn muscle right by the hip and femur and whatever else I did in there. Have to stay off of it for a while. I hope whatever these meds are, work.

Torn muscles can be EXCRUCIATING, so I hope Angel gets plenty of good meds.

The first thing the doctor said was that it was likely a broken hip and/or femur. After doing x-rays, they determined that there were no breaks, which is good. That would have been a long recovery due to surgery. However, the torn muscle is supposedly much more painful, at least in the beginning, but will get better in 7-10 days.
She didn't sleep all night from the pain and I wasn't aware of it because I slept like a rock. She said she didn't want to disturb me. WTH?! I understand and appreciate her concern for me, but that's just ridiculous (but one of the many reasons why I love her). When I woke up, it was obvious that she was hurting like nothing before. So we headed to ER.
She's now resting in bed and catching up on lost sleep. The muscle relaxers should help quite nicely with that.

What a great attitude. I don't think that would have happened with my wife...

Give Angel a big hug for all of us. We really need her perspective from time to time to keep us on the straight and narrow. While caring for her be sue and take some time out for yourself occasionally. Worry can get you down too.

Well, the fun ain't over yet. We're back at ER due to extreme pain and no relief with any of the meds provided. Wondering if it's more than just a tear at this point.

Well, I'm still here, so I must be doing something right. 😉
They gave her more pain meds and apparently she damaged some nerves in there, too, hence the intense pain.
One way I try to earn my keep is by making a yummy meal, like the one I made this evening:
This is baked cheesy mushroom chicken over a bed of rice with a side of broiled garlic asparagus. I think she might keep me a little longer, it turned out really good.

No worries, I am keeping him. He has been such a trooper throughout all of this!! Dragging me to the hospitals, dragging me to the bathroom, dragging me to the pharmacy, dragging me to bed, just dragging me along in general. 🙂
I could not get ANY kind of pain relief what so ever. I went to E/R Wed. morning, and the stuff they gave me didn't even phase me. So my doctor prescribed Percocet. This worked great for me when I had a hysterectomy so I thought to myself "Yay, something that will work!!" Wrong!! :-O The pain just kept getting worse instead of better. It was an extremely excruciating pain!! I was at the point of where I couldn't even more my leg without crying and cringing. So, doc said to go back to E/R. They took me right in this time. They did tests and a VERY painful ultrasound on my leg/hip area. The doc came back in and said that I have torn muscles at the hip/groin and femur, and deep bruises and some nerve damage from the tears. They gave me some new meds and nerve stuff and I have to stay OFF of the leg for a few days. Doc said to just sit on my ass and watch Netflix.
These meds are making me really loopy, though. It's hard to stay online for a long period of time without getting dizzy and feeling strange. I'll just be glad when I am back to normal. :-$
