As a degree holder you should already have taken the FS. I believe an AS or junior standing in a 4 year program is all that is necessary.

Welcome. What state are you currently in?

I encourage you to get in contact with Gene Kooper @gene-kooper as he is in your area.?ÿ He could tell you more in five minutes about mineral surveys than most anyone else on here, except a rare few.?ÿ Get him to take you up with him sometime to the loftier heights in the Front Range.

Welcome! I would be interested in reading about anything you recently learned in college regarding abandoning old surveying methods for new ones.

@paul-in-pa

I'm in Colorado and the only program offered in the state is a 2-year associates.?ÿ According to Board rules here, I need an additional 2 years of survey experience to take the FS exam.?ÿ But rest assured, I'll be sitting as soon as I'm prepared.?ÿ I had considered the 4 year degree from New Mexico State U, but decided on starting with the associates here.?ÿ Hoping we get a 4 year program going soon!
