Hola! Senior Survey Technician at Northern VA

My name is Marcos Ortega, I am from Puerto Rico and my bachelor's are in Civil Engineering and Surveying & Topography from the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez campus ('20 grad). I have had the opportunity to work in both fields with a couple of internships during my studies and have decided that my interest lie more in the Surveying path. For the past 2 years I have been working with ALTA & Boundary surveys, along with Plats and As-Builts coordination for submitting to the different counties (A real pain as they have different checklists and regulations to follow!! lol). Using Civil3D and TBC as our main tools in the office and Trimble for field equipment.

Joined this forum as my manager sent me some info regarding Drone Surveying, and being the curious cat I am I asked where he got this info from, so here I am and happy to be here! I will be reading through the past forums and posting any questions topics as they come up. Currently in the process of obtaining my LSIT, and I'm sure the info posted here will be helpful.
