I am an unlicensed surveyor working for a local water authority. We have over 300 properties. I respond to encroachment sighting, research properties at the county seat, write easements, contract surveyors to monument and provide elevations, and much more. I started in surveying Fall of 1981, and have a degree in Forestry and Surveying from ESF in Wanakena NY. I've been a hand draftsman, and started as instrument in 1992, switching to crew chief after a few months. Line and grade, curb stakes, Drainage, as-builts, site plan determinations were all my responsibilities along with much more. I began at the water authority in 2000, and control the surveying of our properties along with one other person. I'm here as I was referred by a former colleague to ask questions, as needed. Thank you in advance for your support! Cathy
Howdy,

Welcome to the forum. This forum has become the coffee and chat room, for many of us, who don't use crews. Fellowship.
Hello
Welcome and "hello" from Upstate NY
Licensed Land Surveyor
Finger Lakes Region, Upstate New York
This is the place to be if you have questions or just want to learn a bit more about the whole range of surveying topics. But, we really like for everyone to contribute where they are able. Your day to day work experiences will be far different from mine but that doesn't mean we can't learn something from each other.
Almost forgot......sometimes we have to put on our asbestos-lined underwear to survive the flaming we get once in awhile.
Mr Cow, has a financial connection to the asbestos manufacturing in USA. He is trying to make a sale. I cannot even find them at my local wal mart.
So, I think its ok.

Plan to have my coffin lined with asbestos...........just in case.

Yes, I've been to your office looking for quotes. Next to the Ford dealer. My partner, Carl talks very well of your firms work.
