Greetings surveyors. I am new here and looking to gain knowledge from the experienced members of this forum.?ÿ
I'm not sure if this is the best place to start, please do correct me, but I am looking at getting into aerial surveying and mapping with drones.?ÿ
To get things started, what equipment is recommended for this? I've made a list of some of the most affordable while still accurate products but I would love to hear from the experienced community before making a decision.
Welcome, friend.
Welcome.
Search the first couple of pages available right now as there was a lengthy thread just yesterday on this topic.
Check in often.?ÿ This place is very active compared to most places you might visit.

Phantom IV Pro, Drone Deploy, PIX4d.?ÿ Positioning your ground targets is typically done with RTK, and if you need to buy something specifically for that you could go with a pair of Emlid Reach's. To get things started.
If you already have Civil3d you could add the "Recap" module and use that instead of PIX4d. To get things started.
Thanks for the warm welcome.?ÿ
@Norman Oklahoma, I'm curious about the reason for not suggesting RTK enabled drones.
