Recently took over a small firm in northwestern pa. Currently updating from the stoneage. Looking for some information on gps sytems and collection that people use new or used. I ran r6's and r8's (base/rover and VRS) with tsc2 data collection at my last place. We do mainly rural boundary/subdivision work. Im using carlson survey for cad and trimble m3 conventional.

I honestly appreciate his long standing love for near perfect numbers.
Others here, love 0.04' Some are not too worried about the tenth. And some the point of concern is something else.
My point of concern is that we actually understand that there are sometimes 10 or more answers. But often, the more right your answer, the more it is gonna cost.
And, that that decision process is not skewered by the desire for faster and cheaper.
Keep your standards up.

Nothing wrong with being in the stone age if those tools get you thru the day.
