I used that a lot on the prior configuration of the forum. Is there something like it now? I haven't stumbled on it yet.
Time to once again go through that stage of feeling dumber than a pair of red socks at a black tie dinner.
Where is the RECENT THREADS option?
Huh?? I finally found the RECENT TOPICS option by scrolling below the RECENT POSTS option.
Now, I apparently don't know how to edit my message.
In Chrome, the threads under Recent Posts don't disappear after I've read them or change color to indicate that they've been read.
User feedback........not?ÿ a complaint.
That was an extremely handy feature.
Here's another vote for an unread post option. It's available on most message boards and is, in my opinion, the most efficient way to read a message board?ÿ
I also vote for a return of the recent/unread posts button.
Also, when I hit the reply button it didn't quote any text.

Look like you need to hit the "Qoute button
Add me to the requests above.
Seriously lost. This is going to take some time to figure out.
I knew I was following the wrong cow around!
No wonder I'm lost as well...
P.S. The reply and quote buttons don't seem to be working like I might expext.
I found recent posts on the left under the "Leave a reply" box..........
Gonna keep looking for any more eggs.....
I'm glad there seems to be a clearer, direct link to the recent posts page, https://surveyorconnect.com/community/recent/.
I agree there's a lot of white space.
I've tried accessing the site from my phone using Chrome, Safari, and Tap Talk. Non of the buttons at the bottom of posts (Like, Reply, or Quote) work for me.
Unread gets my vote too
I read this thread, and went back out to "recent posts" and saw that the subject line was not bold, and the other threads I haven't read were bold.
We are looking to improve the unread posts feature, but Tom is right -- when viewing the forums lists or the Recent Posts page, you'll notice that the threads you haven't visited yet are bold. Note that each time you clear your cookies, that feature will be reset.
I gotta say I really miss the New Posts/Unread Posts feature where posts disappear once I've read them.?ÿ The Mark All Posts Read was another favorite when there were several theads remaining that I wasn't interested in.
Stephen Ward said: "I gotta say I really miss the New Posts/Unread Posts feature where posts disappear once I've read them."
I agree, the New Posts feature is what I used almost exclusively, it would take me to the first post unread by me in each thread with new content. That seemed the best way to keep reading new material of interest and staying on top of things.
This current new format is extremely cumbersome and just doesn't create any continuity for me.
I waited a couple of days to comment because I didn't want to be a knee-jerk dinosaur who couldn't adapt to change. But I am having a hard time cozying up to this current interface.
This is in no way a criticism of Wendell's gallant efforts but merely an observation and desire. I truly appreciate Wendell's efforts and I am quite certain diving into this mess was not something he was looking forward to.
