I just processed an OPUS Projects project. I had 24 rinex files which all had the correct station name, HI, and antenna type in the rinex header (not fixed height, so all were different HI's). So I uploaded them, and had to individually pick the antenna types and enter the HI's (5 different type of antennas).?ÿ
After uploading the 24 files I started to get results back, and some were aborting. Right away I knew I forgot to put the +C2 flag in the batch file for converting the files from the native trimble .dat to rinex. This can often cause problems in OPUS, with a cryptic message saying...
?ÿ9011?ÿ ?ÿOPUS could not process the data file that was submitted.?ÿ The data was
?ÿ9011?ÿ ?ÿeither very noisy or it was collected in kinematic mode.Or OPUS software
?ÿ9011?ÿ ?ÿhas issue during this time, please reupload later.
?ÿ9011
This can be easily corrected by putting in the +C2 flag if converting using teqc.?ÿ
So I had to upload them again, each time picking the antenna type and putting the HI in again for each file.?ÿ
I have often asked in the past why it can't at least have an option to read the HI and antenna type out of the header. That way I could have just uploaded all of the files at once.?ÿ
Yes, I do know very well that not everyone has rinex files with the correct information. But I have been doing GPS for 34 years now, I know how to get the correct info into the file.?ÿ
I think it should have a button or check mark box that indicates that the information should be read from the rinex header. And a table after upload showing the values in the file(s) and asking to confirm that they are correct.?ÿ?ÿ
I know that one person asking for this may not get it added, but hopefully if enough people request it then it will happen.?ÿ
Anyone else think this would be a useful time saver??ÿ

A little OPUS pet peeve for me is having to select the receiver type each time from the drop down list of every receiver ever made. I have a pair of R8s's. That's it, at that is probably what I'll have every time for the next decade or more.?ÿ Seems like it could remember me in a profile?
Speaking of which, my profile has locked onto a default SP zone which is not my local area. I have tried everything to delete the profile and go back to "let OPUS choose", without success.
I know that the NGS's resources are slim and I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth. But it would be great if they could add these things some day.?ÿ ?ÿ

@john Hamilton
Go to https://iggps.com/out/OA_OU/index.htm this OPUS Uploaded (OU) is a little utility that Mark Silver wrote to upload RINEX files and read the header for Antenna Type and HI. It does not work on the BETA site but it does work with standard OPUS. The last time I used it, it worked great.
Steve: nothing there...
@john-hamilton?ÿI was submitting files to NRCAN PPP today, and I was thinking how it's convenient that it can read the antenna type and ARP height that I put into RINEX files (using teqc). In fact, you must put them in the files; it doesn't offer you the opportunity to enter them manually at upload time.
type "trmr" in the box and you will be presented with a list of Trimble receivers or type "trmr8" and it will only show R8 models.
A new version posted just the other day...

I am kind of surprised john is not already all over it ???ÿ
It??s as if opus just ignore the header in rinex. And there??s justification for that.?ÿ
