Can someone please explain to me why the CF changes when I change my point group numbers inside of Carlson Scale Points.?ÿ I have been doing this to convert GPS points from Grid?ÿto Ground and vise versa.?ÿ If I hold the same scale point as grid and ground, I wouldn't think the CF would change.?ÿ Does it average the CF between the scale point and the points I am scaling??ÿ

Don't know about Carlson, but in C3D 2018 the scale factor changes tend not to stick. It's been a real PITA
I'm not sure what "when I change my point group numbers inside of Carlson Scale Points. " means.
I use the CF in the RAW file to go back and forth from Grid to Ground all the time.
Where does the CF change?

I go to scale points and enter a base point, then calculate combined factor. It is here you must enter ??range of points to process?. If you change your point group, the CF changes also, regardless if the base point is the same.
I think when you select that range of points it creates a scale factor to fit the area of the extremes of the rectangle made by that range of points, as opposed to selecting that one point you are speaking of.?ÿ
