Hello everyone,

I’m trying to process some baselines using Trimble Business Center (TBC), but I’m running into a strange issue. When attempting to process, I get the error: “Base coordinates are too far away from true coordinates.” And in the cases where it does let me process, all the baselines shrink significantly — with distances showing around hundredths of a foot, which clearly isn’t correct.

Has anyone experienced something similar? And if so, do you know how to resolve it?

Note:
The static files were recorded with a Leica receiver, so I converted them to RINEX files before importing into TBC.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

You are telling TBC that your point is at LLH, but the program is seeing from satellites that it's L-100', L+400', H-100' or something like that. TBC will fail if the given coordinates are too far from the actual position. You can actually see where the base is sitting according to the position if you turn on the photos in TBC, you will probably see it's visually in the wrong place.

Are you using a NGS CORS station in the mix. You need to seed at least one point that’s close. If all you care about is relative then send one of the files off to opus. Seed that and process away
