i bought a geo-measure unit that was advertised in XYHT which looks and acts like the "spark for fun unit. it was around $750 including a nice carry case and a years subscription to the "geonet" network.
it fixes very quickly and the free-geomeasure app is easy to use.
but that being said, the app doesn't work very well as a data collector and support isn't great.
i'm still trying to find a way to use it even for simple things.
it works with an app called sw maps which has more functionality but again, i haven't managed to find a way to really use it in my work.
i'm going to investigate spark for fun. it looks interesting.
