It was initially supposed to be released in February 2019.?ÿ I hadn't seen any official word from Javad on it since then but one of our esteemed trade publications had the centerfold advertising it again last month so maybe the release date is getting closer.?ÿ I'm on the short list for one.?ÿ Shawn Billings is having a two day training seminar on Javad equipment in Louisville in October so maybe I will get the inside skinny then.
I hope so. I'd like to see the LS be able to self calibrate its direction, via pointing the crosshairs at a known point, from a known point.

That sounds like what the upcoming Jmate is all about. Not sure what I think about it yet. I would dearly love the technology to be available to have a small rangefinder on the side to shoot offsets to building corners from a very short distance with a reasonable degree of accuracy but I think that all fits into the Jmate job description.
