Anyone can log onto Javads website and buy their system. However, I suggest speaking to any one of the 5PLS team members or calling Michael Glutting at Javad. There are a lot of options and accessories that you will want some direction to purchase exactly what you need. There is no difference in cost if you buy through the 5PLS team or purchase it yourself on the website.

Bill,
On the Javad site, you will find a list of the guys in the PLS support team. I happen to be one of the guys, and am happy to visit New York. Feel free to contact with questions.
After speaking with Adam about some other equipment, he met me for a morning demo on the LS. Kind fellow and informative/ good time.
Haven't made any purchase (no GPS background and not sure how RTK will augment my business model, right now). But, I do think it's a good thing that Javad support is largely based on people making their living in the field, with the LS.
Here is my story on Javad support. I went to work and noticed that my system wasn't tracking glonass sat's. I was working in a wooded area and just GPS only wasn't cutting it. I called Javad's support and they connected to my receiver via TCP with multiple techs at different locations. I just left my receiver on and I took an early lunch. Before I got back they had fixed my receiver and updated the settings. I have never had that quick or thorough support from any manufacturer before.
For some reason I think I hadn't updated to the new firmware in my base receiver or I updated to the "latest" instead of "stable" version that caused the problem. I can't remember what it was but it sure was nice to not have to lose a day in the field.

I have been following you and JD since the Promark2 days and was very impressed with (along with everything else you write about) your recent post about your Javad story and your relationship with Javad.
I have been following Javad since the Ashtech days too.
I would like to find someone who can tell me that I can connect to the NYS DOT RTN with the Triumph LS, how much it would cost and who will sell it to me?
Maybe Duane Frymire can help as he is also in NY.
Happy to help if I can. Not sure how far away you are but if you want to visit and see it in action just give me a shout. You can use it in just about any configuration you can think of. The RTN is free and simple to set up, and especially nice now that all NYCORs have been upgraded to glonass. Although, in the Adirondack Park where I am it is still a long way between them and no plans to add more up here, plus cell coverage is intermittent. So, base/rover is nice up here (and it gets you beast mode, which is very fast) but rtn coverage is excellent in most of the state. I have also connected to Wisconsin and Minnesota rtn without any trouble (just for test on trip that way).
I really can't say enough good about the equipment and the company.
Full disclosure: I'm not on the payroll but was part of an initial group giving feedback and my opinion may be biased due to that and due to little experience with other GPS equipment/software.
emails in my profile.

Thank you for the kind words, Bill. It's been such a great journey.
I would definitely recommend taking Duane or John up on the offer to see it.

John set up my units for me last December when they got delivered to me and he got me up and running. He's a great guy, very knowledgeable and you will thoroughly enjoy meeting him.
I haven't met any of the other support team in person but all of them have chimed in and helped me one way or another, either over the phone and/or on the support forum.
I thought NYSNET was going to be a big part of my work flow but I have come around to a different way of thinking with the Javad equipment. The base and rover at 5Hz is tough to beat (beast mode).
I could not be happier with the equipment. There is a bit of a learning curve but even the basics will blow you away.

Duane very kindly gave me a demo of the Triumph LS last week. He was using the Triumph 2 as a base and was having a problem getting it to run at 5 Hz. A phone call to Shawn Billings got the settings right and we were up and running. I was very impressed with that instant and excellent support!
I look forward to moving ahead with this.
There ya go!!

Adam, I'm still on your list, right?
