I was talking to another surveyor just yesterday about CHC network rovers.
He replaced his Trimble r8 model 1 with a CHC rover and he loves it. I believe that they have the same board as the Trimble R8-3, which is also the same board as the Spectra Epoch 50.
The SatLab Geosolutions SL600 uses the Trimble BD970 OEM board, 220-channels. 6G tracking, L1/L2, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, QNSS, SBAS. Internal GSM modem and 2-watt XDL UHF radio. Fully activated for Static, RTK Base and RTK Rover, Free Firmware updates for life.
Dual hot-swappple Li-Ion batteries. 24-hour Static duration, 15-hour RTK Base duration and 18-hour RTK Rover runtime. 1GB Internal memory and expandable MicroSD memory card slot for long duration Static observations. Data controller runs SurvCE. B-)
I have (2) of the CHC OPUS X90D static receivers. They work flawlessly. I believe that Brad Ott has a base/rover system.
Mark Silver with Igage provides excellent customer support. Definitely worth a hard look.

The SatLab website doesn't have anything to say about cost or even how to purchase. Do you know anything about the price point of the SL600?
Hi Jim,
I was going to stay out of this thread because of the obvious conflict, but...
I met the SatLab owners at the Carlson User Conference in 2014 (the one in Cincinnati OH) and if I remember correctly they had a connection to Ashtech (the original one.) I was really impressed that they were fun guys, selling a good product and having fun doing it (which makes them A-Okay in my book as you know.) Actually, that entire conference was a blast because of all the top-shelf whiskey, being a very close proximity to Kentucky. By chance Bob LeMoine (from above) actually contributed significantly to my delinquency. The final verdict was 'Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon' but that is another story and I digress.
I think that Mr. Phil Gabriel is still the Sales Manager for the United States:
Managing Director

Satlab Geosolutions (USA) Inc.

T. 480-335-9428

his email is phil@ ... (replace the ... with the domain of www.satlabgps.com)
Mr. Gabriel used to be at Hemisphere. I talked to him several times in February and we had met at the Hemisphere HQ in Scottsdale the previous year. I am positive that you can just give him a call for information. He is totally approachable and I am pretty sure that he can hook you with pricing.
SatLab has a pretty big footprint in EU, but I never run across them in the USA. (But that does not mean much because it is really difficult to establish dealer networks in the USA.) Stonex is another example of a EU (Italian) company with a good product that has been incredibly successful in Europe, but you don't run into much in USA. As I have mentioned before, there are more companies packaging RTK than I can count in China.
I have a lot more to say about all of this, but it would hijack this thread and I don't want to step in a pile of Holy Cow remnants and get in trouble.
Have a great weekend!
M
SatLab doesn't sell receivers through our website, (e-Commerce), we sell through Dealers in the Americas. The web page will be going through some updates, adding Dealer contacts. Phil Gabriel or myself can email you Dealer contact information.
Has Mark indicated, the Satlab HQ office located in Sweeden. the US office located in Scottsdale, AZ, The Scottsdale office telephone number listed on SatLab web site. For sales and technical support, I'm based on East Coast, CT
Gracious thanks to Mark for posting information about SatLab Geosolutions and contact information. Mark's a classy guy! I won't comment about any libations consumed at any Survey Conferences, B-)
Mine is only a network rover (no base). Very happy with it.
I've got a pair of the CHC units headed my way. My first jump into RTK.
I'm looking forward to trying them out.
Mark is a top notch guy to deal with.
Give him a call for more info.
