I'm being told it will cost around $1200 to add the GPS module to my existing Surveyor2 that currently just operates a total station.

Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks

I assume you are talking about activating the GPS module on Carlson SurvCE.

No experience with specifically doing that, but all you should have to do it add in the code and you will be rolling.?ÿ The module is already in the software and you will be activating it.

?ÿ

FYI, If you are buying the Surveyor2 used from someone, just be aware that it is already 'obsolete'?ÿ Can't buy a new one anymore, fixing will become more difficult over the years, although I just recently replaced my battery, no problem.?ÿ If you are upgrading your own the value should carry over as they usually will allow you to transfer your license to a new device in the future.

The going rate for the GNSS module for Carlson SurvCE should be $1000, not $1200. There are several steps to getting the module added, but Carlson Support can help you out.
