You have to approach your dealer. Last I heard from my dealer the license was not transferable. Also the costs of TBC is really expensive.
Considering the mostly unused capability of TBC I wouldn't consider it to be overly expensive.?ÿ If what you are going to use it for is to upload/download survey data, do some points processing and then send it on to an equally expensive additional software, maybe you are not getting its value.
In the last couple years or so TBC has finally been upgraded to do what TerraModel would do and more with regards to the advanced drafting.?ÿ You can now complete a project to final delivery in TBC without using any other CAD package.?ÿ I been doing it for more than?ÿ year and getting more efficient all the time.?ÿ Trimble has a big effort going to improve this, make TBC a one stop package.?ÿ So compare the cost of TBC as a full service package to having TBC and several other softwares also PLUS having to learn how to use them all.?ÿ With TBC you only need to learn how to use one software, not several.?ÿ You won't need to be constantly converting between systems.?ÿ You will need to learn TBC as you would any software and change takes effort.?ÿ My effort is starting to pay off.?ÿ Taking all that into consideration TBC is not that expensive.
Depending on what you want to use it for there are different TBC packages at different price points. You need to contact your local Trimble retailer.
For basic data transfers and QC checks, the base license has a lot of functions, and is a pretty good program.?ÿ I still use it for my Javad even though I gave up Trimble stuff a while back.?ÿ I think I paid around $500 for the basic bare-bones version.?ÿ Of course, depending on what you want to do with it, the sky is the limit as far as price goes and it can get pretty expensive.
I run Survey Advanced with the Photogrammetry and Scanning options enabled and yeah, it was a few bucks. But I use the h*** out of it.
