This instrument and DC has served me well but I've moved on to a robot. They are a little worn and dinged up but in fine working condition. Not sure what to ask for a price.
By the way I just recently discovered this site. Love it. Great resource.
You might check Ebay to see what they're going for these days, but my guess is not much. I have the same gun and dc that I keep around as a spare just in case a beer truck destroys my robot someday. I spoke with a local surveyor who has gotten out of the game and was looking to sell a 5yr old topcon gun, Recon Dc, metal detector, rods & prism etc. and he was asking $1500 for the entire lot and getting no takers.
What model topcon??
We have long since "upgraded"...
But for two people putting wood in the ground, or taking a massive amount of shots, I have never seen an improvement.
It is strange that a setup that will work day in and day out without fail, and out produce most of the current products is worth almost nothing...but there it is!
I last talked to him Jan. 19th so not sure if he still has it, but it was a GTS-226 with a TDS Recon running Windows Mobile 5.0 and TDS Survey Pro.
You'll be lucky to see $1000 for it.
Hang on to it for those days when the robot calls in sick.

Thanks Bill. I did not realize you could look up recent sales on Ebay. Why do you think the first sale was a pawnshop?
