Funny, I was just thinking the other day, what ever happened to John Francis.

I saw some 'ancient' Locus's on ebay the otherday and they were going for big bucks.
I think the deal with 3 was in mid $2000's when I looked.
I assume they were legit.
Also were 2 and they were going quite strong.
I'm not one for screwing out the last drop but are the Promarks too cheap?
3 are far better than 2 and that's worth something alone.

What part of SE Ohio do you work in? My dad was a PE and a PS in Marietta until 1978. Worked for Hope Gas.

No sir. Very small family. I was born in Marietta in '68, moved to Bridgeport, WV in '78 when dad got transferred. Dad retired in '88 and we moved to Christiansburg, VA near where he grew up (Shawsville). I always loved Marietta, we lived out in Devola, not too far from the Locks. Dad used to tell me some horror stories about surveying around there (moonlighting). Ted Shushka was a pal of Dad's.

ok, well like i said i always liked that area. it is very rich in surveying history, you ever get the chance they have a museum there that has alot of surveying history in it pertaining to the opening of the northwest territory. the seven rages ect. you know that was the first attemt for the government to subdivide lands.

Sorry about George. Mike told me he'd been sick . . . I wish'd I'd known.

George was the person who first introduced me to surveying at Hocking Tech. I'm forever grateful for that and not many days have gone by . . . for a long time now, that I didn't think of George in a fond way.
