"So, you've discovered a Conflict. Now What? Conflict Resolution for the Surveyor and Resolving Boundary and Title Problems"
So, You've Discovered a Conflict Brochure
All attendees will receive a customize Reference Manual.
I know that there are aspects of Land Surveying that transcends State lines, and disputes is one of them. It is always beneficial to learn, from others, other solutions than "letting the chips fall where they may".

When he spoke in Oregon the "Reference Manual" was a 90 page "hand out" that reads like a text book, well tailored to local law. Worth the price of admission alone.

I have attended several of Mr. Stahl's presentations. He has impressed me mostly for two reasons: hisinformation is current; and his information is taylored to fit the area in which he is speaking.
You won't here the phrase, "Well in Phoenix, this is how it is done!" or "The laws of Arizona say . . .", unless of course he is speaking in Phoenix.
Asided from that, he is NOT a "drone speaker." He will keep your attention the whole session without repeating the same phrase or idea fifteen times to take up time.

:good: :good: I too was present at his Oregon presentation, and found him interesting and thought provoking. I continuously look for his posts on this forum.
My 2 cents, Jp

I've been to his presentations at the Illinois conference several times, I've always enjoyed hearing him talk.

You may, my pleasure.
I've been to a few of John's sessions. He is likely one of the better presenters of practical and useful information us old timers can ever listen to.
As stated above, well worth the price of admission. Enjoy it all, everybody who attends will learn something.
John is certainly a wake-up call for a lot of surveyors who have been doing things the same way for years. He will raise a lot of hackles with some old-timers, but that seems healthy to me. His talk on ""So, you've discovered a Conflict. Now What?" provides good, real-life examples and how and what to do about them besides showing conflicting lines on a piece of paper and a bill and going home. John's philosophy has always been to help his clients come to a resolution to establish their property lines and resolve conflicts with their adjoiners. His "proactive" approach is refreshing for a land surveyor.
Enjoy his visit. I wish I could come and enjoy an after-the-seminar beer with y'all.

Many thanks for the comments. Very much appreciated. I'm riding at 30,000 feet on my way to the MA conference now. Have the pleasure of meeting up with Don Poole for the next few days. Really looking forward to that.
I've found a number of interesting MA cases to discuss. Can't wait to hear some of the responses. Finished updating the Reference Manual which is up to 116 pages now. Won't have time to cover it all in 8 hours, but it should make some good late-night reading for the true insomniacs out there in MA.
Looking forward to meeting the fellow surveyors in MA. If you haven't signed up yet, make sure you do. It promises to have some lively discussions.
