I will be traveling in June for my son's wedding:-D and hoping to stop somewhere for a conference or training. I really miss the interaction with other surveyors so I try to go to a GIS or Surveying event every year. My interests are pretty broad; last year was the oil & gas geospatial conference. This year I am hoping for something more technical, I'm losing touch with the current technologies. I prefer something out of the US but it seems I can't find ANYTHING taking place. It would need to be during the week of June 9 or June 22.

What I found so far:
ACM SIGMOD/PODS in Utah
GI Forum and AGIT 2014 in Salzburg
I like the GI Forum but it's the first week of July, a little late for my schedule.

Anyone know of anything else? Thanks in advance.

FIG conference

I wanted to go 4 years ago and missed it so I have anxiously awaited for the 2014 in Malaysia. I have been watching it on radar for 4 years and had the dates June 16-21 marked down. Then a few months ago my son announced his wedding on June 21 near Seattle. Do you think it's too late for them to change the date of the wedding?!

I am already very tight on the number of days in the US so I'll probably just head back to work after the wedding, the AGIT will require too much time on R&R.:-( The only other potential is a volunteer project in Panama, I'm waiting to see if my application is accepted.
