I would, and could move to a state that still supports a 4 yr degree program So I could finish the original goal of getting a license to close that loop and career bucket list item.

No, although I might try to convince my work to pay me to continue some standards work that I do now. Otherwise, I've got plenty of things that I'd like to do (citizen science, travel, school volunteering, reading, distributed proofreaders, work out regularly). Although paying for health insurance or paying out-of-pocket would probably be horrifying.

I would continue surveying until the lottery money ran out; then go back to being broke...

I would but I'd also do a whole lot of traveling NOT related to survey work.

If by survey you mean survey the view across the Aegean sea while sitting in my villa drinking wine then yes, yes I would survey

The little surveyor on my right shoulder says yes I would and I would do it for free. The little surveyor on my left shoulder agrees with Mr. Fleming. I believe I would put this chapter behind me and start a new one.?ÿ

I love my job and profession, but if money was no issues I would spend it on philanthropic endeavors and travel extensively.

Like I do now.?ÿ Semi-retired at 48, because I have about 47 years to go (gotta pace myself).?ÿ Someone named Dan (I think, maybe Larry too) said charge twice as much and work half as much.?ÿ I do.?ÿ It works for me.

So, yes.

I honestly don't know. I guess I'd have to quit my job and travel the world for a decade or two and think about it.

Powerball? Hell, if I won just enough to pay off all my debts and cover vehicles & health insurance for me & SWMBO for our lives, I'd quit this biz.

I'm happy where I live & how I live, I'm just fed up with surveying.?ÿ

If money were no object, I would stop working in a heartbeat (if not quicker). There are way, way, way too many other things I enjoy doing. Volunteering at museums, visiting places I've not been before, going to Florida more to see my folks, perhaps spending time on my brother's boat, and the list goes on. Work (for some of us) gets in the way of life and having fun while I'm still "young" enough ??ÿ ??ÿ

Yes, because I would donate all the winnings to various charities just to piss off the IRS and help others.?ÿ ??ÿ

Who says I haven't already won and no one can tell the difference?

Anyone here remember back to about 1978 when J. Paul Getty's grandson was kidnapped and they chopped off his ear and sent it to him to prove they were serious? ?ÿDo you really want to subject those near and dear to you to such potential danger?

I have a friend who won north of 20 million in a lottery. He never quit his business; gave most of it away and his family took the rest. Basically he lives by himself off of SS.?ÿ He never bought a boat but his kids all have them.?ÿ
