There are very few things that I "cheer" for. Professional athletes are certainly not included.

Chargers

The Chargers, since I lived in San Diego for so long. Luckily, they almost always have a good team, and usually make the playoffs.

As a kid, I grew up a Rams fan in L.A., so strangely enough, I sometimes root for the St. Louis Rams after all these years.

Packers.

When I was in 2nd grade (1964) my dad transferred from Ft. Huachuca AZ. to Carswell Air Force Base, Ft. Worth Texas. I was already a Packers fan. Apparently the only one in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metro area. Shortly thereafter the Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys and advanced to Super Bowl Roman Numeral 1.

I was introduced to fist-fighting in the River Oaks Addition to Ft. Worth Texas on January 1,1967. They were lined up around the block, those Cowboy fans.

Speaking of which Angel, me and a buddy are going to Salem on Saturday Oct. 8 to meet up with a friend (an OSU grad) to drive down to Corvallis to watch the Beavers play Arizona. Retuning to Salem that night and then back home on Sunday. Do you think you and Wendell would have time to meet on Sunday at the Dairy Lunch for breakfast?

What, no Lions fans?

But on one of their typical bad days I'll go with the Packers, Cardinals, or Chiefs.

There are Lions fans, we just don't want to jinx the 4-0 preseason start.
