042 ?ÿ I think I assumed there were 3 distinct unrepeated digits.?ÿ Maybe someone can think that through.

The 4^th clue says there is no 8 anywhere.

The first clue then says the answer is either 6xx or xx2

The 2^nd clue says the first digit is not 6, so the answer must be xx2

Then the 1^st clue says there is no 6 anywhere in it.

The 3^rd clue, with no 6, says the other digits are 2 and 0 but not in those places.

So we have 0x2

The 2^nd clue (without a 6) says we have a 1 or 4 but the 1 is in the wrong place so it is a 4

So the answer is 042
