I saw this photo explained as:
"People run away as Kurdish animal rights activists release a bear into the wild after rescuing several bears from captivity in people's homes, in Dohuk, Iraq, Feb. 11, 2021."
I'm thinking they need to include thought balloons in the pic.?ÿ The bear could be thinking, "What's for dinner? So much on the menu!"
One of the participants could be thinking, "Glad I wore my running boots.."
A closer inspection to the bear's right reveals a microphone.?ÿ I guess they were going to interview to the bear.?ÿ He obviously had a different agenda.
And btw, who the hell keeps a bear captive in their home?

THE KURDS!!!!!

Notably, just 4 of the roughly 20 people depicted are wearing face masks, and not social distancing. Perhaps someone can make a meme out of that.?ÿ
That's four people mitigating the risk of the corona virus but when it comes to mitigating the risk of the BEAR, ah why bother.
I just bear-ly escaped!
The Kurdish version of running with the bulls? They were all out of bulls so it was either a bear or a camel and running with the camels just didn't have the same pizazz.
"Too danged cold for me.?ÿ Next year let's run with the bulls in Spain.?ÿ It'll be much warmer.?ÿ Besides, bulls might injure you, but bears might eat you."
"Remind me to never make it on Wendell's bad list again"
Okay paden....I'll go with "Ehmeq wek?? ehmeqiy?¦ dike," which is Kurmanji (Northern Kurdish) for "Stupid is as stupid does."
Self restraint, Self restraint, Self restraint, (self-to-brain; "you know you will get booted from this joint if you respond") ?????ÿ

Nobody who is on litter box detail would think of it.
Had some coworkers in the exotic animal business.?ÿ They had two or three bears for several months.?ÿ The policies in effect for keeping them were very stringent.?ÿ Double cages in 3-D on concrete.?ÿ They might eat you while you were tending to their needs and foolishly left one gate open but they wouldn't get out to eat anyone else.?ÿ They had to have "toys" for them to be emotionally stimulated and the toys had to be changed out rather frequently to prevent boredom.
Then one day while we were out surveying we heard on the radio that a somewhat local teenage girl had been killed by a tiger.?ÿ She had gone to another exotic animal producer who had some tigers and some lions to pose for her Senior pictures with a tiger.?ÿ The specific tiger was very tame and had posed with numerous people for photos inside its home pen.?ÿ She was straddling the tiger to sit on it when it spun around and attacked her viciously.?ÿ Plenty of others had done the exact same thing.
Very rapidly the State laws on keeping large creatures were changed such that only zoos were able to do so.?ÿ Bears were included in the changes so they had to go.?ÿ The investment in the expensive pens was largely wasted.
"BEAR"?!?!?ÿ I thought you said she was going to be BARE!
Okay, I (think) I get get it. Call of the wild, back to nature, yada yada etc.
BUT, while I'm all for having a Cougar in the house for a night or two once in a while, the thought of having one around all the time is pretty scary.
