I wouldn't want to be moving those stones while wearing flip-flops and sandlles!?ÿ Too much opportunity for a broken toe.

I wonder if that was draining onto more property they own or if that was a neighbor?

Not only is that not a 10 acre pond, it doesn't even contain 10 acre feet of water.

I wouldn't say it this way, but, perhaps they meant it has a watershed of 10 acres.

I guess i understand the theory of, "we have the equipment, might as well use it", but wouldn't a pump have been easier/better?

Rotenone would have done the job way easier. Used here to control invasive pike in our lakes which have wiped out rainbow trout anywhere they show up.

Why was it drained? I sure as hell wouldn't eat anything that could survive in that cesspool. ?????ÿ

I doubt it's a 2 acre foot pond, maybe it's that big.

The fish probably died from little flow through.

It looks like it needs an aerator to keep it from being a sick dead pond.?ÿ

Suggestion to them with the hoe being there, a drain pipe is a really good idea.?ÿ

@mkennedy?ÿ

Great answer, Melita.?ÿ When I read that, I thought to myself that I had seen the unit known as are somewhere before, then promptly jumped on the acre bandwagon.

A problem with just reading exactly what is there is that often it isn't what the person intended to say. We get used to autocorrecting what we read so it fits what they seem to be trying to say. Once in a while we get it wrong.

Had it been listed as a fraction of a hectare many more of us would have understood the metric reference.

are,?ÿunit?ÿof area in the metric system, equal to 100 square metres and the equivalent of 0.0247 acre. Its multiple, the hectare (equal to 100 ares)

Again, I believe my awareness of the are unit of measurement of area comes from solving thousands of crossword puzzles.?ÿ The clue given is: area of land.?ÿ You know the answer must be acre, but, there are only three little boxes to fill.?ÿ The first letter is a and the last letter is e and you think to yourself, "This dummy doesn't know how to spell acre."

Oh, here I thought the video was about the guy burying the trackhoe.?ÿ Looked like he tried at least, and had a hell of a time getting it out.?ÿ I've seen plenty of guys walk one of those across a trench so not sure why this guy didn't do it.?ÿ
