I recently passed the fundamentals test.
Would it be appropriate to add "SIT" after my name, in work communications/email?
Thanks
As the saying goes, "When you got it, flaunt it."
Have you been issued an SIT certificate from your state? Some states allow you to take the fundamentals exam, prior to meeting all the requirements for SIT registration, so if you need to accumulate more experience, or pay a fee to get your status registered, you might want to hold off until you actually have the state board of registration's blessing as an SIT. Once you have it, it's completely appropriate to tag the acronym to your name in business correspondence.
I've seen CST II after a person's name.?ÿ SIT is much more meaningful and impressive.

Maybe. Oregon state law dictates that passing the FS test entitles a person to use the letters L.S.I. (Land Survey Intern) after their name on business communications and marketing materials. Perhaps your state has similar dictates.
But, generally, I've seen lots of guys-including me- use LSIT or similar on their emails and business cards.?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ
Heck yeah!
The day I got my certificate I sent out an email to let everyone know I passed, with SIT after my name in the signature.
My business cards have SIT on them also.
Thanks everyone,
According to the state board website, the certificate is in the mail.
Since it's more "impressive", here goes.
Sincerely,
mav1958, SIT
I would absolutely use it!?ÿ You've earned it.
I knew a fellow (30+ years ago) who had a rubber stamp made up with his name and LSIT and number.?ÿ He never put it on a drawing but did stamp "some" correspondence.?ÿ I would use it where appropriate.
