It seems to me that dealing in Bitcoin would be a great complication to the average surveyors accounting and business arrangements, while adding no significant advantage. Just stick with government issued money. Invest your profits as you please.
I would not request it, but I'd accept it with an additional fee for inconveniences associated with converting it to USD. It's my general policy to make paying me as easy as possible.
