I have an old Nikon DTM 20 that I have revived. I was considering changing out the proprietary data port for a hirose 6 pin to open up options for a data collector and cable. Then I came across an auction results page that listed a Nikon D2 data recorder with original pouches, charger and cables that sold for $5! So I figured I’d try here first and see if I can find one of these and keep the whole setup old school.

Somewhere out there, in a broom closet, and equipment graveyard or forgotten storage exists one of these silver soft cases with a Nikon DR2 and I would like to buy it!! So dig deep into your memory bank and think of where you saw it last!

the old auction listing was December of 2023, it did show the winners email address, although a Hotmail address, I did send a message in hopes they would respond, but nothing so far!

Years ago I used a Nikon DTM-20 with a Cable that connected my HP48-GX. Then a Nikon DTM-420 same cable. Then a Nikon DTM-322+ same cable.

That 48GX with a TDS Survey Pro card was and still is a great DC. I have of course moved on to a bluetooth DC and a Leica TS15 robot but those old school Nikons were real work horses and got the job done.
