Does anyone on here own a Burt's Solar Compass? (I'm jealous if you do!)
Too pricy for me. I've been fascinated by them for decades. If I had nothing else to do (ha) I'd get more shop tools and try making one.
I recall someone posted on the predecessor forum pictures of a somewhat crude model they made. I think it used wood and plastic protractors. Definitely demonstrated the principles.
@bill93 I got to use one at a solar compass workshop taught by Tim Kent last weekend. They are very cool! I'm hoping to get one so I can make videos on how to use them. Trying to keep the GLO history alive 🙂
