91st day over 90 degrees here in Athens Georgia this year. Multiple records broken.
?ÿ
It has been so damned hot and humid this year that I don't think I can handle another. Every single job I have been absolutely soaked and on several I had to strip and cool down before putting on my change of clothes I carry. I'm not talking a little bit sweaty I mean not a inch of dry cloth on me. About 1-1/2 months ago I got laid low with heat exhaustion and my wife had to come get me.
I jokingly tell folks if it gets any hotter I'm just gonna work neked but there have been days where it was not a joke.
?ÿ
I am not sure how many days we have been hot, but I have not had measurable rain at the house since early June.?ÿ I know we never got below 90 in all of Sept, and had several days of over 100 in Set, a whole crapload of those days in August.?ÿ We were supposed to be at 85 today, but broke 90.?ÿ They tell us next week we should see some 70's for a high.?ÿ We havent seen 70 for a low in about 3 months
In my corner of the world the weather problem has been far more rain than normal for far too many months in a row.?ÿ Cursing rain in July, August and September rates right up there with cussing out the preacher, but, nearly everyone has been doing it anyway.?ÿ Those of us who interface with Mother Nature daily have had a very rough year.?ÿ Rainfall in the month of August, for example, was from 200% to 300% of the average number.
Yes, there are only months left before the entire world ends due to climate change... duh.?ÿ
It is cold here.
I want to turn on the heat.?ÿ That would be a record for the earliest ever.
We have had 1 inch of rain that happened on one day in 7 weeks here. Athens is generally a pretty wet area. I have had only 2 rain days this year that we couldn’t work.
I was hoping for the mini ice age that was predicted several years back. My ancestry is Nordic and I much prefer the cold.
First frost this year and I’m getting nekkid and rolling around in it
People often complain about the weather, but no one ever does anything about it.
-Mark Twain
The pear tree is loaded and I saw green pecans in the tree and oak nuts already falling on the ground, so fall is around the corner;
Russell Wilder and I have worked together for 21+ years in this profession. A seasoned crew chief, of course he is in the heat all day every day. He claims to follow that first frost ritual every year. I've often been tempted to do the same. After this summer, and lack of fall so far, I may be able to make that claim this year!
Y'all stay safe!

Going to be another Beautiful Day here in Puyallup!

Y'all have a great day; I know I will!

The pretty weather lady just told us; we had an EF-U Tornado here yesterday.?ÿ
I bet you fellas living in Tornado Alley never seen a EF-U Tornado before...
😛
It has been raining hard/gentle/hard/gentle/hard for the past two hours and its not done yet.?ÿ All of that will turn into runoff as the ground has been saturated for at least the past two weeks.?ÿ I think our cats have been interbreeding with the neighbor's ducks because they seem to be developing webbed feet.
Chief said that the other day, "That Pecan tree is loaded!". Fifty feet away was a sweetgum, thought he lost his mind. It was a tree across the street he was talking about. :silly:

Sounds okay.
?ÿ
It might be regional but, the three surest ways to make it rain were:
a) Mow the lawn
b) Wash your vehicle
c) Barbecue
