Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and a passion for working in the land surveying profession. You will lead a survey field crew in daily operations and coordinate directly with our staff professional land surveyors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead survey field crews in conducting topographic, construction layout, boundary, ALTA, and as-built surveys.
- Ensure adherence to company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Train and mentor junior field personnel.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of field surveying experience; Crew Chief experience preferred.
- Proficiency with modern survey equipment and data collection software.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles and field procedures.
- Skill set to read and interpret engineering drawings, legal descriptions, and plats.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability and desire to work outdoors in varying conditions.
- A natural tendency to establish and maintain good working relationships.
