Greetings all. My adventure to return to my home state of MI did not pan out in my best interest. I basically cut bait after 2 months and came back to AZ in search of bigger and better things. All the while not freezing my butt off and remembering why I left the mitten state in the first place about 12 yrs ago. The best part was being able to watch my Red Wings on a regular basis, and they are still rolling. Some think I made a bad decision and at least one of my kids is kind of butt hurt, but I'm not very good at getting taken for granted by anybody. That was the deciding factor to me.

I'm likely heading to Las Vegas or Reno in the next week or so. At 60 the meter is running and I've still got to give it all my best shot.

Cheers all and I'd be going with the Sea Squawks taking it to the Brady Bunch on Feb 1, much like the humbling that Sir Peyton got last year.

Good luck on the move. I've always heard to bet it all on black, so place all my life's savings and house on red. I never really did listen to those who told me what to do.

Well, "welcome back" Kotter. And the winter up here was not nearly as bad as it was last year. By the way, the mag spike trick worked like a charm today for my tripod.

Hey Wayne,

Reno is too cold. Vegas has much nice weather. Good luck to you wherever you land.

Thanks for the kind words. I know that us surveyor types are a bit "off" anyway in our nincompoop mannerisms, but I also know we give it our best. As I've told my soon to be step daughter, I'd rather be right and screwed, than wrong and screwed.

Already made my first trip to my 10 x 20 storage, got the quad on the charger, the jeep is just a go machine, my Tundra is a bigger rock star than all of us, and well.... life is good.

Now if the Wings will take Lord Stanley home, I'll really be a happy camper. News at 11 on or about June 11 (my day of birth thanks to ma & pa), but the East goes through Pittsburgh to Motown and somebody has to humble those pesky Kings and/or Hawks in the West zip codes. Even the Blues look like a promise land, kinda cool IMVHO. Gonna be a really fine tribute to Lord Stanley with the best of the best going skate to skate.

Well let me know where you land. If it's back in the same neck of the woods I will start referring jobs back your way. Welcome back to the warm weather.
