But do you know what grid you are on?

The BLM does NOT "survey on the grid" (well they might, but that isn't the final "bearing distance" that they return/publish)

We tend to survey on "plan" north around here. It's an angular relationship kind of thing that works when you're in a recording state. However, I am slowly integrating the gps into more and more projects. I am MA mainland coordinates, but I forget which iteration until I download the data 🙂
