Hey all: I am doing some field work in Northwest Idaho where the ID doesn's have an RTK network.
Washington State does, though, but they charge $1,900 per month to subscribe. It doesn't make sense for me to subscribe to theirs, as I only get up here a couple of times a year.
Does anyone have an idea for a temporary state login? Can you rent or lease someone's login for a day or two?
I believe that's per year.
Google the WSRN survey and you will find contact information

You're pretty much SOL if your trying to use the WSRN in North Idaho. Even if you could connect, the base stattions are quite a distance away unless you happen to be in coeur d'alene. I heard they were staring one up near Hope but havent followed this too closely.
Best bet, get a base station setup.
Joe, I see you are from Indiana.
Comparing Indiana terrain to NW Idaho, I would say at minimum you first need to double static observation times.
For a couple of months system fees you instead buy two basic CORS setups and establish a base network. I would also suggest any RTK you do would be from a two base setup, getting independent solutions for every field point. That means you also invest in a post processing program. Just because your only tool is a hammer you cannot secure everything with a nail. You need more tools.

$1,900 has to be a year. Ours is $3,000/yr for RTK and we're on the high side of the national average. Depending on who operates the WA network they may have provisions for temporary licensing.
You can't get very far "outside the box" with a true network solution (like VRS) before it starts going south on you. If they have a provision for single base you can probably get 15 - 20 miles from the nearest CORS.

Agreed. I do have a few tools in my toolbox and options if the WSRN wasn't available, I just wanted to borrow somebody's hammer and their tooldbox was locked 😉

I was wrong about the subscription pricing is $1,900 is annually not monthly. Maybe somebody will excuse a little bit of blurry eyes after travelling all day.
I sent out an email to the WSRN admin about the same time I posted this and got a reply back same day, all is good. I'm in Post Falls, so between stations in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, and in an urban area near the interstate with decent cell coverage. I was able to get logged in with single-base corrections from the Spokane caster and HRMS and VRMS equivalent to other networks like CRTN and INCORS.
Thanks all for you input, and especially thanks to the WSRN for helping me out on short notice.

Agreed. Had one, lost it, miss it.
The WSRN has an updated sensor map here
