My Verizon mobile hotspot connection to network worked fine 2 days ago. Today it won't connect. Is this a 5g issue? Any fix?

Is your hotspot 3G??ÿ Both Verizon and AT&T are discontinuing 3G in the near future although I think Verizon's sunset date is set for December of 2022.?ÿ AT&T's date is February 22, 2022.?ÿ

Check the model number on-line.?ÿ That should let you know.

I'm not sure its a 3G thing though, unless it is a local tower issue.?ÿ It looks like Verizon is ending CDMA / 3G at the end of 2022.

"We are actively decommissioning our?ÿ3G?ÿCDMA network?ÿand expect to be?ÿcompleted by no later than?ÿDecember 31st, 2022."

Verizon is shutting down 3G cell sites throughout this year.?ÿ I don't have a cite but suspect 3G will first be shut down where 5G becomes available as 3G's spectrum is used for some 5G bands(?).?ÿ ?ÿI'm bummed because I had a (10 year old) Verizon 3G flip phone that suits my needs just fine, as a phone and with no data plan ($30/month).?ÿ I was "forced" to buy a 4G flip phone ($240); I admit the voice quality is now better.

The best cell phone I ever owned??ÿ Without a doubt a mid-eighties Technophone bag phone;?ÿ with the foot long extended range antenna I could get 40 max miles range from mountaintops in remote areas and with a rail mount whip antenna on my boat at sea range was reliably 25+ miles offshore.?ÿ Voice was sort of AM radio quality but that made it even cooler.
