I think that this particular use of StarNet is strictly an office exercise. A means of dealing with the inevitable rounding errors inherent in computing a closed figure from dimensions on a plan. Of course it would then be possible to use StarNet to adjust (warp?) your field ties to fit the record dimensions but that may, or may not, be wise.

It would be possible to assign standard errors, individually, to each measurement and thus achieve the weighting scheme you suggest.
