I AM NOT a regular Trimble user, BUT a client provided a t01 file for a project I am going to process.
I need to install the GPS Configurator utility from Trimble as one of the utilites to convert to a DAT file.
I have installed the utility in the past, BUT when I try to install the just downloaded file GPSCfg-v410b1.exe, I get a corrupt file message, tried to re download twice, same message. I found an older version in my downloads directory, same issue.
When I had this running before it was on a Vista 32 bit PC, now I am running WIN7 64 bit. I tried to install into the XP mode, same issue.
Anybody got any clue?

I could be (and often am) wrong, but I believe what you really need to convert the TO1 file is the Data Transfer utility.
GPS Configurator does not (as far as I can see) offer any options other than connecting to a receiver. If you only have the file, that is pretty much a dead end right there.
After installing Data Transfer (and probably restarting the computer) you should be able to right click the TO1 file and get the option to convert to DAT.

I sent you an email that might help. I'm getting ready to attempt the same thing.
The dat file is extracted when the t01 file is downloaded through Data Transfer.
OK thanks guys, I couldn't remember what utilities I needed to install for the "right click" option to convert the t01 to DAT. I have the transfer utility installed, I guess maybe a reboot is needed.
Nonetheless, I can't install the RINEX converter without the configuration utility AND that won't install, all I need right now is a DAT file, BUT would like to get all of the utilities working.

Rebooted, no joy with just the data transfer utility installed.

Shelby -
I may have lied to you - so far I have not been able to get the right-click (context menu) option to convert to DAT to work under Windows 7. Tried removing/reinstalling Data Transfer but that did not work.
Seems the way to get a DAT file is to -
1. Make a folder on the hard drive with a name like "PC Card" and put the T0X files to be converted there.
2. Create a new survey device in Data Transfer of type "Survey Data Card" that points to the folder created in Step 1.
3. Run Data Transfer, point it to that new device, look for files of type "5000 Series Receiver Files", pay attention to where they are going (the Destination field) and do the Transfer. That will make DAT files appear in the selected Destination, the naming may be messed up because the T0X extension may remain in the middle.
The configuration update you probably need for the RINEX converter is found from the Trimble home page by following the hyperlink path Support A-Z | Trimble Configuration Utility. That utility provides information on the latest antennas and receivers.

Shelby, email the file to me and I will convert it for you and create a RINEX format file.
Then we will figure out your problem.
Glen thanks that works. Ironically I was within a breath of getting that to work, BUT I forgot to select 5000 receiver and so of course my t01 file wasn't listed. Anyhow, I have a DAT file now.
Still not sure why the configuration utility install routine indicates that the download is corrupt, but that apparently has to be installed PRIOR to the Covert To RINEX. At least I can make DAT files, I have other ways to get that o RINEX if needed.
Thanks for your help!

Scott, thanks for the offer, I am rolling now, see my response to Glen below, HOWEVER thoughts on getting the rest of the utilities installed for a non Trimble user would be appreciated.
