Is anyone familiar with the setup on the SNM940 and CB430 for use in GCS900 machine control? We are setting up the system on a CAT D10R and can't seem to get VRS corrections from our remote base. The SIM card (ATT-same card used in our TSC3), install and settings were initially setup from our Trimble dealer and we are trying to get those settings along with the service cable to double check everything. We also went through the settings on the CB430 (ver 11.41) and still can't get any VRS corrections.
Note that we are not using TCC nor are we using IBS from Trimble. Our internet base is simply a static IP which our TSC3's pickup just fine with no problems.
Just want to see if anyone has any information or experience on this that may help us out.
Artie
I ran through my CB430 emulator and nothing really stood out. Sorry I couldnt help. Do you have sitevision up and running somewhere?
Just spent 2 hours on the phone with Trimble support and finally got this thing to connect with our base. Now it's just a matter of checking the measure ups and benching out to some control and we should be off and running. Nothing better than seeing the GPS mode go from autonomous to RTK fixed after 2 hours of trouble shooting in the cab of a D10 with no a/c. 😀
Thanks for the reply.
D10 huh? You guys moving an island out there?;-)
@21-157I know this is a super old post but I’m in the same situation with CB430 and SNM940. The machine has been using a radio for long time but I want to put in on our vrs network but can’t get it working. It’s like this control box was made before vrs came about! It’s a long shot but can you remember what sitetech had you do to get that working?! Thanks!
@chrisfox Chris, hoping you got an answer by now but if not... if you have an SNM940 on that machine you'll want to upgrade it to an SNM941 to run VRS. SNM940's are 3G and are obsolete, 941's are the only supported modems at this time.
