Anyone running Topsurv 8.1 having lock up or crashing issues in stake out . We are seeing at least 3 times a day while staking . During Topo no problems .
Topcon denying any problems but I have a FC2500 and FC250 and both of them are locking up .
They keep saying contact your dealer I keep saying dealer just wants to sell me another crappy data collector .
I at the point to trade all this stuff in and go Trimble or Leica . What a hassle and were busy .
I was just given a new 2500 a few weeks ago to work with and the GD thing locked up on me in 2 hours. In frustration I hard booted it with the on/off button and it blew the TopSurv program up. Took it into the office and they had to re-install TopSurv. Dealer said that he had never heard of that happening. That box is garbage. It does not have non-volital memory.
Been using Rangers for many years and never had that happen. Just glad it wasn't my money that purchased it.

We tried 8.1 but every time we uploaded a job from the office the localization was missing,we went back to 7.2 it seems to work better and our 2500 rarely locks up
Dropping back to TopSurv 7.5.2 is probably your best bet. I don't recall our users reporting lockups in stakeout, but because of other issues I typically recomnend the downgrade. If you choose the downgrade route, be aware that 7.5.2 cannot open a job created by 8.
