I haven't seen that many stars since I accidentally sat on my b***s.

And who the frig polishes those medals.

I talked to General Amos for two minutes and he intimidated the hell out of me...

Great photo.

The medals are glaring. Having more of an Air Force background, I have never seen anything like those medals.

I think the one at the top left, from the ribbon, would be a Navy Cross. Next up for that spot would be a Congressional Medal of Honor but he doesn't have that. I have seen very few Navy Crosses, but I think that they are issued in "subdued bronze" like the Distinguished Service Cross and the Air Force Cross.

Who polished them? Some E3.

Carl - that's a cheap shot.

I suspect he earned every medal there and I'd be willing to bet he takes care of them himself. I really doubt a Marine would have an E3 polish his medals.

Not at all

Not a shot of any kind. Don't read into my post what is not there.

And what is this "suspect" about earning the medals? I have no doubt he earned them all.

Some of us in a different branch would have been gigged for polishing medals like that. To each his own.
