I cannot seem to find the firmware version of my Topcon Hiperlite+ units. Tried "PC-CDU", but can't find firmware version. So far no response from Topcon as I have registered to get on Topcon Support, but no reply from them as to my signing up. Any help will be appreciated.

Surprising Topcon just released NEW firmware for the Hiper Lite receivers, this month for the April Rollover. To download go to https://www.topconpositioning.com/gpsrollover#feature-110916
I just helped a few clients update the firmware. For old receivers, TRU may not work. You must PC-CDU. To check the firmware in PC-CDU and TRU go to
Device > Application Mode > Receiver Manager
Then Connect?ÿ
Go to Information to see current firmware.

To upload the firmware with PC-CDU or TRU, go to
Device >Application Mode >Firmware Loader
Thanks for the reply. It is impossible for me to get a download of TRU from Topcon, because their site constantly wants me to enter the serial number, which is not recognized before I can proceed to anything. Also I cannot login to a simple download site of theirs because the login asks for a USERID that only allows 6 characters and my email is much longer, thus dead in the water. Also, when I login to MyTopcon it persistently wants me to enter my units serial numbers, which the site will not recognize. Dead in the water. I could download TRU from some other place, but my concern is not getting malware from them. Of course, since I can't get to the firmware download on Topcon's site it is a mute issue. Dead in the water. Will just wait until the rollover and see if it's time for new units or not.

The Topcon site will accept your full email as the username. I have an email that has nearly 15 characters in it with no problems. As far as entering your cell number do not put the dash in as shown on your receivers. You can actually key just any number you want as long as it doesn't have dashes in it.

What about a Hiper Plus? Will that firmware work?
No. as per the Topcon website is shown above the Hiper + does not get a firmware update, so it is the end of Life on 4/6/2019.

Connected to the receiver, in PC-CDU go to Help then About and it will show you the firmware version.
Took me a while to figure that out.
The firmware install is kind of weird, hard to tell when it is done but it says several minutes.?ÿ After the Minter lights stopped doing their weird dance I figured it was done so I connected to PC-CDU and the new version was on there then I had to initialize the storage.
I was able to create an account on Topcon's website using my e-mail then logged in and downloaded. Didn't need any serial numbers.
Is my Hiper GGD toast come the roll over??ÿ TopCon website site says it at "end of life"?ÿ I like to use it to collect data to send to OPUS.
We will see. I plan on testing all of my old Topcon equipment before and after to see.
