Wondering if anyone had any similar problems to the issue (from my PC) described below:

Topcon HiPer II GNSS Receiver

TopNet Live VRS

Spectra Ranger 3

Survey Pro GNSS ?ÿ v. 5.8

?ÿ

Issue Holding Fix:

Issues first occurred Wednesday, 10/23/2019. Still present Friday, 10/25/2019.

When first connecting to network and gathering satellites, it doesnƒ??t take any longer than normal to acquire an accurate fix. Accuracy of the fix will not be any better or worse than previously. However, the fix will drop after 2 minutes consistently. Around 15 seconds to reacquire fix, but will then drop after another 2 minutes.

Turning off GLONASS tracking doesnƒ??t seem to help. Receiver will either never acquire fix without GLONASS or will drop fix with the same 2 minute consistency.

Dumping the network connection and satellites, then reacquiring network and satellites doesnƒ??t seem to help. Fix will drop with the same 2 minute consistency.

Doesnƒ??t seem related to the receiver moving around or staying still. Doesnƒ??t seem related tree cover or horizon visibility/line of sight.

Stood in the same location for approximately 35-40 minutes without ever being able to gather a 3 minute/180 epoch shot on a control point. Max was around 120 epochs before the fix would drop, reacquire and start over.?ÿ

Any Ideas?

This happened a few months ago but some kind of problem the calendar ran out of binary numbers and had to start over.?ÿ Most people were able to get back up and running with a Firmware download.?ÿ That may or may not be your problem.

@david-livingstone

We had a firmware upgrade on 3/28/19. Had to physically send to the dealer 3 hours away because they are listed as "This product is legacy and unsupported."

These have worked daily from April through 10/22/19.
