Today's find

1/16 corner set by the county surveyor in 1905. No record of it being found since. I'm pretty proud of my LSIT for (1) turning up the record of it from the county surveyor's really difficult to follow notes and (2) deciding that it had to be there and we needed to go back to the site to look for it (3 hours from the office). It doesn't directly control our boundary but does control the county road right of way. I'm also a little jealous that he found it instead of me. I might go check it out this weekend, I'll be in the area anyway, should be a fun side trip. I'm such a survey nerd! 🙂
