As many types of thorny of bushes that we have to deal with out here on the and bar the Rugosa Rose has to be the worst.

Here's a kind of funny picture of SWMBO locating two iron pipes about 2' apart in a MESS of Rugosa Rose. A unhappy "pin cushion" in a land courted subdivision.

This is going to be an interesting case of abutters to a private way, that used to dead end at the water, are trying to deny rights in the accreted land (about 1,000') that has attached itself to the upland.

PS I removed a thorn this morning that was about 1/2 inch deep in the middle knuckle of my pointing finger, SWMBO is still pulling thorns!!

It could have been worst, your SWMBO could have been taking shots in Rhus radicans that high. It gets higher than that down here.

Wild Rose and Blackberry in some areas, I usually work in the driers areas now and avoid those things but occasionally I do get caught up in my work.

That is a Wild Rose around here.

Mid 1970's during primetime summer I staked my first communication tower. It was atop a hill on 35 acres that was completely covered in wild rose. Only a dim road existed that led to that hill. Scratched the paint on both sides of the truck getting there and back to the highway. I refused to topo and stake monuments for the site until they showed with a dozer. They hired another company and they took a look and simply quit. They called us back and made an appointment to meet the dozer.

She hates running the gun, has trouble looking through the scope, disorienting to her... Of course she wasn't happy about standing there while I took my time (and a picture).

On occasion, when the going gets REAL tough I can convince her to take a few shots.

Don-

You are a lucky laddie to have such a partner (named ??)in life as well as in the field.

My SWMBO is also adored by YOS for her contributions to my life.

Cheers

Derek

She's very pretty!! 😀

Reminds me of when I went out with Wendell a few times in Oregon and in Arizona. In Oregon, the blackberry bushes got me. Wendell got poison oak on his feet and of course he rubs on my feet in bed and so I also wound up with that crap. :-/

In Arizona, CACTI!! Especially that jumping cactus. I think I was picking out needles for a week! !@#$% How those needles get through steel toed boots is beyond me. 😐
