But I still like to listen late at night, and play my ACAD games with that kind of philosophy in mind.

Pilgrim! Wasn't the man who shot Liberty Valance the same man who shot the can of paint that colored Jimmy Stewart?
I'm pretty sure you'll like this song as well. 🙂

The guy in the white hat...

Does anyone really know for certain who killed Liberty Valance? Apparently the debate continues today as the movie left it open to two potential correct answers. What gun did the bullet come from that struck Liberty? How much damage was made with that bullet? Did he fall into the street or onto the boardwalk? With which leg did he first step up from the ground towards the boardwalk?
Some people have far too much time on their hands to still be asking these questions 54 years later.

FINALLY, an interesting thread. I've learned all I care to about sidewalks in California
And if monuments could sing. This is the theme song to a very good show called The Detectorists. This song to dig holes by is written by Johnny Flynn, primarily about a couple of British metal detectorists and their search for treasure both of this world and ages past, but the song could easily apply to surveying . . especially as the website that is hosting this video is called "line of best fit".

Loved the very first one from Rio Bravo with Grandpa McCoy, Ozzie's younger boy, the straight man from Martin & Lewis and the Duke as a spectator.
